Bidwatch separates discovery, measurement, and analytics so a public counter never becomes an audited claim by accident.
Directory metadata and reported board figures are provided by outoutbid.lol. Values are board-reported, cumulative, unaudited, and may be stale. Null means unreadable—not zero.
Plain-language contracts for every headline number.
The original representation is preserved alongside normalized fields.
Visitor traffic never triggers scraping of individual boards.
Discovery: Bidwatch maintains an attributed catalog seed and can add verified boards without importing third-party market figures.
Measurement: a scheduled first-party worker fetches every due board directly, validates the network target, and uses a browser fallback only when static HTML is insufficient.
Archive: run records, extraction evidence, raw content hashes, and board observations are append-only in Postgres and backed up independently.
Analytics: ranks, shares, deltas, whales, and activity are materialized only from successful Bidwatch observations. Failed or ambiguous reads remain null.
Delivery: public pages read the last complete materialized snapshot; visitor traffic never initiates a crawl.
External money and Bidwatch money are never merged.
A position is public sentiment, not a financial instrument.
BACK means the participant publicly supports a board. FADE means the participant publicly expresses the opposite sentiment.
The purchase funds a digital service on Bidwatch: sentiment influence, optional public attribution, activity visibility, Heat influence, and a shareable position card.
Positions cannot be withdrawn, transferred, resold, settled, or redeemed. They confer no ownership, winnings, profit, return, dividend, or claim against a board.
A position is created only after Bidwatch verifies the payment provider webhook. A success redirect never creates a valid position.
What these numbers cannot prove.
Collected figures are public claims made by the boards. Bidwatch does not inspect payment processor accounts, refunds, fees, chargebacks, taxes, or ownership.
The directory is a floor on the number of boards that exist, and tracked value is a floor on readable public counters. Cumulative totals do not prove that bidding happened recently.
Source and research timestamps are stored separately. A mismatch is surfaced as a consistency warning instead of silently blended.
